Strands Agents

Strands has built-in OpenTelemetry support. Point its OTLP exporter at your collector and import the traces.

Turn on Strands telemetry and set the OTLP endpoint to your collector.
Follow the OpenTelemetry panel to save and import the traces.

Import

python harness.py import-otel traces.jsonl --blueprint .harness/harness.yaml --out .harness/runs/otel.jsonl.gz
python harness.py check-logs .harness/harness.yaml --runs .harness/runs

Where the log lands

In your collector's trace file.

How it reaches the harness

Copy the file to where you run the harness.
